Andy is head of charities at Rathbones and co-manages the Rathbone Core Investment Fund for Charities, as well as running portfolios on behalf of charities and not-for-profit organisations. He joined Rathbones in June 2014 from Newton Investment Management, where he was also head of charities. Andy also worked at Schroder Investment Management and UBS Wealth Management, and during his career he has managed investment portfolios for a wide variety of charities and other not-for-profit organisations, as well as individuals, trusts and corporates.
Andy is a visiting lecturer at the Bayes Business School (Centre for Charity Effectiveness), and an external member of the Investment Committee of the Dunhill Medical Trust. He is also an Associate Member of the CFA Society of the UK (ASIP) and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Andy is a keen sportsman, enjoying skiing, riding and tennis, as well as time spent in the garden and with his family. He graduated from Exeter University with a first class honours degree in Chemistry and Law, and subsequently spent three years as a solicitor in the corporate finance team at Freshfields in the early 1990s.

Ashley comes from an HR/L&D background, having worked in the industry for three years as an apprentice for a boutique executive search firm before moving into financial planning in 2019. He completed his diploma in 2020 and moved into a paraplanner role shortly after, assisting advisers with research and writing client reports.
He moved to Manchester in October 2021 and enjoys experiencing everything that the city has to offer. He loves travelling, boxing, fashion and houses with a particular interest in renovations. Ashley also cherishes his time with his family and likes to keep an active lifestyle.
He aims to progress through Rathbones and develop into a cohesive and capable financial planner. His day-to-day role involves supporting planners through the client advice journey and helping build and maintain quality client relationships, all whilst working towards chartered status and gaining competency.

Bryn is the head of fixed income for Rathbones and is lead manager on the Rathbone Ethical Bond Fund and the Rathbone Strategic Bond Fund. He joined Rathbones in November 2004 from Merrill Lynch, where he managed $2 billion of fixed income assets.
Bryn is a member of the Rathbone Strategic Asset Allocation Committee, non-executive chairman of Rathbones' Fixed Income Committee, and an adviser to the Rathbone Banking Committee. He is a WMA representative for the HMT DMO’s (Her Majesty’s Treasury - Debt Management Office) Gilt market consultation process. Bryn appears regularly on CNBC and Bloomberg TV. He also sits on the IA Fixed Income Committee.
Bryn graduated from Birmingham University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography in 1995. Bryn’s Rathbone Ethical Bond Fund was awarded Best Sterling Corporate Bond Fund at the Morningstar UK Fund Awards 2014 and 2016; Best SRI Bond Fund at the Money Observer 2015, 2016 and 2017 Fund Awards; the Rathbone Ethical Bond Fund is also a top performer in the Bond Pound Sterling – Corporates sector over three and five years in the UK (Lipper Fund Award 2015) and was ‘Highly Commended’ at the 2015 Moneywise Awards. His Rathbone Strategic Bond Fund was voted best Multi-Asset Fixed Income Strategy at the Investment Week Specialist Investment Awards 2015 and was highly commended in 2016. Winner of the Judges Choice Fixed Income award 2018 – Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year awards. Carl has managed the Rathbone Income Fund since the 1 January 2000, having joined Rathbones in 1998. He is one of the longest serving managers in the UK Equity Income sector, with one of the best performance records over that time. He has spent two decades holding executive roles within Rathbones Asset Management, and was closely involved in the creation and evolution of the team’s investment process. He is a member of the CFA Institute and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment.
Carl graduated in 1991 from the University of Southampton with a BA (Hons) degree in English Literature, and in 2021 was awarded an MA (Hons) degree in Modern History from King’s College London. A regular triathlete and ultramarathon runner, Carl has completed an Ironman distance triathlon, as well as two runs of the famous Comrades Marathon in South Africa. He and his wife are heavily involved in animal welfare; they have fostered over 60 rescue dogs, have adopted a dozen over the last 10 years, and are connected to New Hope Animal Rescue, a small animal sanctuary near Herne Bay in Kent. And with only a little encouragement, Carl will also tell you he is vegan.

Chris joined Rathbones as part of the transaction involving the Jupiter Private Clients and Charities team and was an integral part of launching the Rathbones International business in 2014. Chris is responsible for identifying and developing business relationships with Financial Intermediaries Internationally.

Christie is assistant fund manager in the fixed income team.
Christie joined Rathbones in January 2024, arriving with 15 years of experience in fixed income markets, most recently at Vanguard where she spent eight years as an assistant portfolio manager on global corporate Environment Social and Governance (ESG) funds and ETFs, and as a senior trader focused on European and UK government and corporate bonds. Prior to this she was an emerging markets trader and portfolio manager for Stanlib in South Africa.
She has an honours degree in Investment Management from the University of Pretoria (cum laude), is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds the Financial Risk Manager qualification.

Clive Hexton is an investment director with 25 years experience in private client fund management. He has been actively involved in the management of portfolios for larger complex family structures, including the management of bespoke family funds, and accordingly is also a director of Rathbone Unit Trust Management (Rathbone Funds).
Clive is a member of the Rathbone Investment Management Investment Executive Committee. He is also on Rathbones' committees for Strategic Asset Allocation and UK Stock Selection. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and has an honours degree from London University.
Clive joined Rathbones in 2000, prior to which he spent 15 years at Kleinwort Benson. Throughout this period he was actively involved in the research and stock selection process, was deputy chief investment officer and in his earlier years was research manager for the oil, gas, utility and pharmaceutical sectors. Prior to his career in the financial services, Clive served a three year commission with the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
